Data protection guidelines of sea staff

welcomes your visit to our website as well as about your
interest in our company and our products. We take the protection
of your personal data very seriously and would like you to know
how and for what purpose your data will be saved or used.
Our data protection practice is in harmony with the regulations
of the federal data protection act (BDSG) as well as with
additional data protection regulations in the Internet.
sea staff takes technical and organisational measures in order
to protect the data that we manage against unintentional or
intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or against access
by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are continually
modified to keep pace with technological developments.
Personal Data
Personal data is
”individual information about the personal and factual
circumstances of a specific or specifiable natural person
(person concerned)” (§ 3 Section 1 BDSG). This refers to
information about a person in a specific context, personal or
professional, that is not generally accessible, as in the
telephone book for example. Persons include employees,
shareholders, customers, suppliers, representatives, insurance
holders, tenants and so on.
If you visit our website our web server, by default, saves the
name of your Internet service provider, the website from where
you are visiting us, the websites that you visit with us, as
well as the date and length of the visit.
Furthermore, personal data is only saved if you give it to us
voluntarily, for example as part of mailshots or when ordering a
catalogue. It is therefore your decision as to whether you give
this data.
Your information will be saved on specially protected servers in
Germany. Access is only possible to a few authorised persons who
deal with the technical or commercial support of these servers
and who are under obligation to us in accordance with §5 BDSG
with regard to data privacy.
Usage and forwarding of personal information to third parties
sea staff only uses personal information to the necessary extent
for the purposes of technical website administration, for
customer management, and for marketing.
Transmission of personal data to governmental institutions and
authorities will only take place as part of mandatory national
legal regulations under observation of data protection.
Right to revocation
By submitting an application, you are entitled to receive
information on the data about you that is saved at no charge. If
you have given us personal data, you can delete it, correct it,
or block it at any time. Data for invoicing and accounting
purposes are excluded from the deletion process.
Cookies
Cookies are small files that are temporarily saved on your hard disc. The information contained in a cookie helps to increase user friendliness, to determine the number of users to our website, and to increase the usage convenience of the product selection. sea staff uses cookies to understand and create the preferences of visitors to our websites in an optimum way. Of course, you can also view our website without cookies.
